Get Rid of the Valley’s Hard Water by Having a Water Softener Installed

What Is Hard Water?

If you have lived in Arizona for more than a few days you have probably noticed that we have hard water.  The Valley is notorious for hard water which means that we have a higher concentration of things like lime, chalk, calcium and magnesium.  Most people hear that they have hard water and think, “So?  What is the big deal?”  The reality is – hard water is probably impacting them in their daily lives more than they realize.

How Hard Water Impacts Your Daily Life

Hard water is impacting your daily life in many different areas.  First, you have probably seen unsightly streaks on dishes and glasses – hard water.  Have you seen limescale buildup on your faucets or shower heads? Hard water.  And, hard water can actually cause sediment buildup in your water heater which makes your water heater deteriorate more quickly.  This leads to higher electric bills each month because your water heater is not able to operate as efficiently as it should.  And, it can actually cause your water heater to die far sooner than it should, reducing the return on your investment.  Further, if you notice your skin always feels mysteriously dry even though you use moisturizer, it could be the result of hard water residue on your skin that you cannot see!

How Can a Water Softener Help?

Water softeners dramatically reduce your hard water by removing calcium and magnesium from the water before it ever flows through your pipes.  Water softeners use an ion exchange process (typically with salt) to help remove minerals and the water you are left with tastes and feels much better.  Say goodbye to dry skin, water spots and streaks on dishes and glasses, lengthen the lifespan of your water heater, and enjoy lower electricity bills with an investment in a water softener!
